How it Works
1.) Let your imagination run wild!
The first step is to figure out what you want, how you want it! I personally love to use Nodes to find places to add space in my area as I don't have a lot of space, and Nodes can really maximize your space usage in small spaces.
2.) Print it
After figuring out what pieces you'll need. You'll just need to print them all out! Don't worry to much about Nodes failing, the geometry is super simple and designed to be easy to print. All the parts come in the orientation that they should be printed in, and come with a raft to ensure great bed adhesion. If you decide not to use the raft, a little bit of glue is recommended.
3.) Build it
After you've printed out all your pieces, you just need to assemble them. Assemble is super simple, you just line up the pieces, and smash them together. There's a modular 3D printable mallet that you'll be able to download to make your life easy! You don't need to hit to hard, a light tap should do the trick, I also like to just stand on them to connect them
4.) Reforge!
After a while you may find that life goes on. What you want changes, your space changes, your ideas change. Nodes is designed to be completely adaptable so that you don't have to know what you want upfront, and can alter it down the line! To disassemble Nodes, all you have to do is stick the prybar inbetween the grooves, and lift! It's that simple!
-
The perfect fit
Using our patent pending modular building system. Nodes can build a storage container that will fit perfectly into your space (5mm tolerance), no matter how oddly shaped it is!
-
Designed to print
Nodes doubles down on 3D printing. Designed to ensure there are minimal (and always custom generated) supports, minimal overhangs, great bed adhesion, no warping. We've even gone as far as to design our own custom infill!
-
No 3rd party parts!
That's right! No 3rd party parts, all you need is filament and a 3D printer! Every piece is has been painstakingly designed from the ground up.

Every Journey Starts Somewhere. Nodes Begins Now.
The future of your space is ready to take shape.
This initial release of Nodes includes only one module, Framework. It is designed to be the foundation of the entire system, and is just a taste of what's to come.
Right now, there are five more modules in the works, all at different stages. Some are just ideas on a napkin, others are almost ready to go. I didn't rush anything out the door with this release, and I'm not planning on rushing anything out the door with future releases either. I want every new module to be something that will help Nodes evolve. Something I can be proud of. Something that will add value to your world.
There’s so much more to do. Every new module opens up new possibilities, making the whole system more versatile, more functional, and more yours.

From Concept to Creation
Created. Validated. Trusted.
Created
The first Nodes 3.0 prototype was a purpose-built stand to hold two 3D printers. I completed assembly of the 1200 × 400 × 500 mm structure made of PETG in March of 2024.
Trialed
To see what it could really handle, I did what any curious maker might do, I stood on it. All 165lbs of foolishness that I am, probably not my brightest idea, but the stand didn’t flinch. Solid as ever, it was ready for the real test.
Over the next nine months, it held two 3D printers and powered through more than 3,000 hours of nonstop printing. Day after day, month after month, it earned my trust.
Transformed
Nine months later, the mission changed. I needed to move across the country. The structure was easily disassembled in about 30 minutes, and after printing a few more pieces, it was reborn as a custom crate that fit like a glove for shipping my 3D printers across the country. Validating one of the key principles of Nodes, transformation without compromise.
Tested
The crates were packed in a U-Haul and shipped across the country where they stood in non climate controlled storage unit for 3 months. And just as I had hoped for, it had done it's job. The printers arrived safe and sound, and the individual pieces were able to be transformed into new structures.
Validated
The first module of Nodes called Framework was validated. I am incredibly happy with the results, and hope you will be too! After 2+ years of work, and two systems that just weren't good enough, I've finally found a system that has lived up to everything that I set out to do.
Conform to any space. Built to last. Endlessly reconfigurable.
Incredibly scalable. Easy to assemble and disassemble. Endlessly customizable.

What is Nodes: Modular Building Ecosystem?
Nodes is an innovative new 3D printable organization and storage system designed to allow you to design, create, and download your own infinitely customizable storage solutions.
It allows you to build organizational structures ranging in size from a shoebox, to a large bookcase. Each organizational unit can be built to fit your space perfectly (+-2.5mm) in any direction no matter how oddly shaped the dimension are or what your heart desires.
Not only can you build storage units, but in the future, Nodes will allow you to attach different modular building components together, such as adding pegboards to the side of new bookcase, or a table that can fold and unfold, all perfectly tailored to fit your space.
What is a Modular Building Ecosystem (MBE)?
A modular building ecosystem (MBE) has multiple modular building systems that work together to form a building system that is more comprehensive and saleable than a standard modular building system. It allows for building more complex objects and structures across various domains, where a modular building system tends to only have one connection method, and has a very singular purpose. Nodes: Modular Building Ecosystem is designed to be incredibly flexible and ensure that your organizational structures are only limited by your imagination. Feel free to join our community if you want to see some of what other people have done with Nodes!
Why did this take so long to create?
Nodes has taken such a long time to develop because not only did I want it to be perfect, I wanted it to be a product that I would be proud of.
This means I've had to test the system at scale multiple times, as well as doing time tests on various components to ensure that they will work not just on the first day you print them, but every day in the coming months and years to ensure that you have a great experience with Nodes and keep coming back for more!
I don't have a 3D printer, can I still purchase Nodes?
Yeap! But most likely you won't be purchasing directly from me. My plan is to connect you with a network of merchants who will 3D print nodes, and ship them directly to you! Oh, and don't worry about them breaking during shipment, I literally used Nodes to armor pack some 3D printers when I moved from LA to Seattle =D
Will Nodes work with my 3D printer?
Nodes is designed to work with any combination of 3D printer (FDM), and filament combination. It accomplishes this by using our patent pending system which ensures that there is only one possible calibration for ALL Nodes (as long as you don't modify the geometry in any way shape or form). This way, no matter who prints it, or what combination of printer and materials are used, it will always be compatible with other one printed!
Nodes will also ship with multiple tolerances to ensure that no matter what combination of printer and filament you want to use, you'll get a perfect connection every time!
To loose? No worries, just grab our higher tolerance. To tight? No worries, just grab the lower tolerance! Ezpz, no fiddling with your print settings to try and get thing rights. All you have to do is print out our tolerance kit, and pick the one that is right for your setup!
How big of a structure can I build?
The largest structure I'd recommend would be around the size of a large organization unit. I don't recommend building anything that goes over anyone's head, such as a doorway, or a roof, and definitely not a shed/house, etc.
Building structures such as a house or shed are against our terms and conditions as we don't consider it to be safe and there are also regulations and certifications required to build these types of structures which Nodes has not passed.
What kind of testing has Nodes undergone?
I've been working on Nodes for over 2 years now.
Along the way I've gone through 3 iterations of Nodes, where each iteration went through vigorous testing to determine what was required for the next version.
The testing during each phase included scaling up to build a large working prototype and use that prototype for at least six months. Version two had a filing cabinet which is going strong for about 18 months now holding a traditional laser printer, and storing filament. Version three built a 1400x400x500mm storage unit that held two 3D printers for 9 months, and a storage crate for transportation.
However, scaling up is not the only test's that are done, it is merely the final test I do on each iteration. Before that I do torture tests on each piece, iterating over and over until they are what I consider to be something that I would want to use. These tests includes building small prototypes and leaving them out in direct sunlight, and building planks and jumping up and down on them until they break (do not try this at home).
Do you have a parts checklist?
Nope! Nodes was to designed to be fully 3D printed, and not require any 3rd party parts. We do however have some custom tools that can help you assemble and disassemble Nodes, as well as some custom designs to help get you going!
However, I highly recommend planning your build before you get going. In the future there may be tools to help plan builds.
Can I reuse my pieces?
Totally! Nodes was designed with reusability in mind. I've spent a lot of time in my life moving around and getting used to new spaces, and there's nothing worse than having your furniture not fit, or not being a Tetris master and being able to make everything fit perfectly. Nodes is designed to be taken apart and reused over and over again to your hearts content!
Are these the final pieces?
Some pieces are final, while others are still in development. Even the finalized parts may undergo small refinements as I continue optimizing every detail for the best possible configuration before release.
How strong is Nodes?
Nodes retains a significant amount of strength across the connection points. It is designed to be strong enough in a basic configuration to hold an average weight adult human male (yes I tested this, and please don't try it at home).
I'm planning on doing some more scientific tests in the future and uploading them somewhere on the internet for all to see. These tests will involve crane scales and weights to show off the actual physical forces that Nodes can withstand! I'm super impressed by how much weight it can support, and hope will be too!
Please don't stand on Nodes. Please don't build dwellings or structures, or anything that goes above your head with Nodes. Although Nodes is designed with the utmost strength and safety in mind, this is a brand new technology, and we put safety first!
How can I purchase Nodes?
Nodes is currently in prerelease. Right now you can reserve your spot in our upcoming Kickstarter. If you're not ready to sign up yet, no worries! Feel free to drop us your email and we'd be more than happy to keep you in the loop.
How do you pronounce Quackeon?
Quacky-On or Quack-eon, Like an eon of Quacks, or someone whose just quacking away 😉 Doesn't really matter to be honest as long as you're have fun with it!
What do you mean by “Any Shape. Any Size. Any way you want it.”?
When we say “any,” we mean your storage units can be customized in a wide range of rectangular shapes and sizes, all designed to fit together with precision. Each piece connects at right angles, within a tiny margin of 2.5mm, on a standard cartesian plain, ensuring everything aligns perfectly and looks effortlessly polished.
So while your creativity sets the direction, the system’s smart engineering keeps everything stable, functional, and beautifully organized. Simply put: endless design freedom, grounded in real-world precision.
